Emergency Mode
Someone is pretending to be you
You are being impersonated, possibly using cloned voice or video. Warn the people who will be approached, and capture the evidence before it disappears.
What this assumes
- Any device you trust.
- Normal internet access, and a way to reach your contacts.
Do these first
Containment. Minutes matter here and nothing else does.
- Warn the people most likely to be contacted, in your own words, through a channel they know is you.
- If money has been requested from anyone, make sure they know before they act.
- Report the impersonation through the platform's dedicated impersonation route.
Afterwards
When the immediate situation is over, a plan is what keeps it from happening the same way twice. That needs an account; this page never will.
